Honey Run Waterfall Park will be the site of a leisurely stroll at 10 a.m. next Saturday, April 15, to scope out early spring ephemerals. The park is located at 10865 Hazel Dell Road in Howard.
Join Volunteers Susan Guttormsen and Terri Heironimus as they guide you toward spotting delicate, beautiful wildflowers that have a very narrow window in which they grow, flower, pollinate and produce seeds before tree leaf-out.
Learn a bit about spring wildflower ecology and its value to the overall forest ecosystem. Dress for the weather conditions, and be sure to bring sturdy walking shoes.
