MOUNT VERNON – Robert Stanley “Bob” Rock, 84, of Red Bank, Tennessee, passed away on March 15, 2023. He was born on Nov. 25, 1938, in Mount Vernon.
He graduated from Mount Vernon High School in 1956.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilbur and Blanch Rock, and his brother, Herb Rock, all of Mount Vernon.
He is survived by his high school sweetheart and wife of 63 years, JoAnn Frazier Rock; his three children, Bill Rock (Kim), Teri Flemming (Howard) and Tim Rock; four grandchildren, Lindsey Pearson (Chris Rodriguez), Michael Pearson (Alisha), Abby Herron (Billy) and Matthew Rock; and 10 great-grandchildren, Gwyn, Nik, Aubrey, Payton, Emma, Atticus, Alainah, Violet, Jerrett and Avery.
Bob was an active member of Red Bank Baptist church for 50-plus years and enjoyed traveling with the prime time singers. Bob retired from Chattanooga Glass after 38 years. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed baseball, golf, photography and growing flowers.
Funeral services will be held Monday, March 20, at 2 p.m. from the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, with the Rev. Bill Harvey officiating. Interment will follow at Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. on Sunday, March 19, at North Chapel.
