FREDERICKTOWN – Jeffrey Thomas Diehl, 80, of Chippewa Lake, Ohio, passed away on Feb. 5, 2023. He was born to Charles Franklin and Virginia Mae (Stern) Diehl on Nov. 16, 1942, in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
Jeff was a restaurant manager for various places, as well as a management trainer for TravelCenters of America. He was a member of the Lions Club and was a past grand marshal at the Fourth of July Parade, which was his favorite holiday.
Jeff was a proud grandpa and attended everything his granddaughters did. He wrote his opinion to the Post every day and still kept in touch with his 1960 graduating class of Fredericktown High School.
Jeff is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, Ellen (Hill) Diehl; his loving daughters, Tricia Diehl and Tara Bellman; his cherished granddaughters, Cassidy and Kelsey; and his nieces, Kimberly and Kristen Diehl. He is preceded in death by his parents; his daughter-in-law, Lindsey Feller Diehl; and his brother and sister-in-law, Dennis and Kathy Diehl.
The family asks, in lieu of flowers, for donations to be made in Jeff’s name to Hospice of Western Reserve, 5075 Windfall Road, Medina, OH 44256 in appreciation for their supportive, compassionate care.
The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 9, at Waite and Son Funeral Home, 765 N. Court St., Medina, OH 44256. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 10, 2023, at the funeral home. He will be laid to rest at Mound Hill Cemetery in Seville, Ohio.
