MOUNT VERNON – Elizabeth A. Conn, 89, of Mount Vernon, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 7, 2023, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born on Feb. 2, 1933, in Mount Vernon, the daughter of John and Helen (Grennell) Shannon.
Elizabeth was an active member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Mount Vernon. She enjoyed spending time with her grandkids and witnessing her faith too others. Elizabeth was a loving and dedicated mother, grandmother, and friend to many.
She is survived by her children, Rebecca (Louis) Blubaugh of Mount Vernon, Bill Conn of Mount Vernon, Dan Conn of Mount Vernon, and Denise Conn of Mississippi, nine grandchildren, Chad (Amy) Blubaugh, Angie (Matt) Abshire, Lacey Conn, Levi Conn, Nathan Conn, Amy Conn, Andrea Conn, Naomi Conn, Sonia Conn, and numerous great grandchildren.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by a son, Stephen Conn, a daughter, Karen Conn, two grandsons, Jason Blubaugh and Craig Conn, four brothers, Chuck Shannon, Bob Shannon, John Shannon, Jim Shannon, five sisters, Mary Cagnon, Viola Warner, Eva Smith, Lela Llewellyn, and Ruth Sanor.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, Jan. 12, beginning at 2 p.m. at the Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home, 201 Newark Road, Mount Vernon, OH 43050, where friends may call from 1 p.m. until the time of service. Mr. Steve Andrews will be officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Valley Cemetery.
