Redskin Lanes attracts perfect games.
Last season, the Utica bowlers’ haven produced 27 reported 300 games in bowling leagues. Through October of this season, two 300s have been reported.
That all changed Nov. 7 in Monday 4x4 play, when Trent Speer rolled a triplicate … three consecutive 300 games for a 900 series at that point – he rolled a 249 in his other game for an 1,149 four-game series.
Speer, a longtime bowler at Redskin Lanes, is no stranger to perfection on the alleys. Last season, Speer rolled a reported three 300 games – Jan. 27 in the Dick Alley Memorial League; Feb. 14 in Monday 4x4 action and April 4 in Monday 4x4.
The most recent flirtation with a 300 game in Monday 4x4 prior to Speer’s triple was a 299 by Jarred Shaw, reported Sept. 26, and another 299 was thrown at Redskin Lanes Oct. 3 by Chris Lambert. The most recent 300 reported to have been rolled at Redskin was Sept. 15 in Dick Alley Memorial League competition by Roger Adams.
