The Knox County Symphony, under the direction of Dr. Benjamin Locke, will present a free children's Concert featuring a potpourri of music designed for listeners of all ages at 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 25.

Expect to hear some familiar pieces as well as those designed to spark the imagination. The event will take place at the Schnormeier Event Center at Ariel-Foundation Park.

Gund Gallery at Kenyon College will enhance the musical experience by providing art activities for the symphony's youngest patrons. Following the concert, there will be cookies and cider and the opportunity to meet the musicians.

The musical selections include Night on Bald Mountain by Modest Mussorgsky; music from "The Empire Strikes Back" by John Williams, arranged by John C. Whitney; music from "Encanto" by Lin-Manuel Miranda, arranged by Larry Moore; and "Pirates of the Caribbean" medley by Klaus Badelt, arranged by Ted Ricketts.
