She is survived by her five children: Tom (Sue) Maraffa, Ohio; Irene (Dan) Lindelow, Oklahoma; Mary (Steve) Bartel, Florida; Roseanne (Chris) Blubaugh, Florida; and Tony (Jean) Maraffa, Nevada. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Andy (Lisa) Maraffa, Emma Maraffa, Beth Burger, Thomas (Jessica) Lindelow, Elina Lindelow, Joey Lindelow, Joe (Sin Lee Loh) Blubaugh, Frank (Emily Mella) Blubaugh, Alex (Lauren) Blubaugh, Lisa Blubaugh, Mark (Jessi) Young, Michael Young, Melissa (Andrew) Haney and Hyacinth Maraffa. She is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren. Her children and grandchildren were a source of special joy and pride. Mary was preceded in death by her brothers, Leo, Leonard and George Serafini. She was the last living family member of her generation.
Mary enjoyed being a wonderful housekeeper, wife and mother, and enjoyed cooking fabulous Italian dinners and hosting memorable holidays and get-togethers with family and friends. She will truly be missed. We have lost a magnificent presence in our lives but gained an even more powerful advocate in heaven.
In addition, she was very proud of her beautiful gardens, loved being outdoors and was a member of Mount Vernon Garden Clubs.
A graveside service will be private. A Celebration of Life is planned at a later date.
