The 2022 Mount Vernon Junior League golf season has ended, and winners received their award certificates at a ceremony/dinner July 21 that followed a final golf scramble competition.

The eight-week golf instruction and competition schedule at the Vernon View Golf Course, 901 Beech St. in Mount Vernon, attracted 32 kids, coached and mentored by former Mount Vernon Nazarene University assistant golf coach, PGA Canada Tour winner and current JV golf coach at Mount Vernon Nigh School T.T. Crouch, and Mount Vernon High School varsity golf coach Anthony Savage.

Junior League award winners for the season: Justin Hammond – Mount Vernon Junior League overall champion; Somi Bright – Wendy’s Division champion (who was out of town when the ceremonies were held); Cooper Lowe – Mount Vernon GMC Division champion; Sutton Quinlivan – Savage Pools and Patios Division champion; and Greyson Rutter – Relentless Effort Award winner. The winner of each division also won a 2023 junior membership to Vernon View Golf Course.
