HOWARD – Daniel S. Katz, 79, of Howard died Thursday, July 14, 2022, at his home surrounded by his loving family.
He was born Aug. 19, 1942, in Santa Monica, CA, to Sidney and Gertrude (Ewens) Katz.
Daniel served in the United States Army Reserve.
He married Barbara A. Noe on March 31, 1974. She survives.
He worked at Carolina/ABF Freight for 30 years. He enjoyed auto racing and cars.
He will be deeply missed by his wife, Barbara; sons, Ronald (Nicole) of Apple Valley and Craig of Mount Vernon; grandchildren Steven and Nathan Katz; brother William (Mariann) Katz of Arizona; and sister Susan Katz of California.
Daniel was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends may call Thursday from 10 to 11 a.m. at Roberts Funeral Home – Mount Vernon Chapel, Mount Vernon. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Dan Mayo officiating.
