3 students from KCCC place in top 10 at BPA National

MOUNT VERNON – Knox County Career Center (KCCC) had three students from CollegeU-Business and Computer Network Technology programs placed in the top 10 at the Business Professionals of America (BPA) National Competition and Leadership Conference.

The BPA National Competition and Leadership Conference took place May 4-8 at the Hilton Anatole in Dallas.

Dryden Hager, a senior in CollegeU-Business, placed third in the business law and ethics competition. Ethan Temple, a senior studying computer network technology, placed third in the network administration using Cisco competition. Logan O’Brien, a junior studying computer network technology, placed seventh in the server administration using Microsoft competition.

“We are very proud of our students and their instructors. Having three students place in the top ten in the nation in BPA is a great accomplishment,” said Kathrine Greenich, KCCC superintendent.

In addition to the competition, KCCC students had the opportunity to visit the George W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum, the Dallas World Aquarium, AT&T Stadium (home of the Dallas Cowboys), the Ross Perot Museum of Nature and Science, and the Reunion Tower Observation Deck.

The mission at BPA is to develop and empower student leaders to discover their passion and change the world by creating unmatched opportunities in learning, professional growth and service.
