Due to a city project and high contamination, the park and ride/memorial bin locations will be closing this week, according to Matthew Baugher, program manager of the Knox County Recycling and Litter Prevention.
“Please be patient,” Baugher said in a press release, “we are in the process of finding a new site in the city of Mount Vernon. In the meantime, feel free to use any other Rumpke bins in the county.”
Baugher reminded residents within the city limits of Mount Vernon that they are entitled to free recycling through their trash hauler.
