MOUNT VERNON – Dolores V. Heagren, 89, of Mount Vernon passed away on Thursday, Dec. 30, 2021, at the Laurels of Mount Vernon with her loving family at her side.
She was born on Aug. 11, 1932, in Newark to the late Thomas Young and Peggy (Redman) Sprague. Dolores was a member of the Grove Church of Christ. She enjoyed gardening, baking, reading her Bible and sewing. But most of all, she loved the time she spent with her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband, Harry Heagren; three sons, Robert (Regina) Heagren, Larry Bower and Tom (Connie) Bower; her daughters, Debbie (David) Rozanski and Kim Hill; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and her brother Leroy (Sue) Sprague.
In addition to her parents, Dolores was preceded in death by her son Keith Bower; two great-grandsons, Lucas Heagren and Malachi; her brother Robert Young; and her sisters Yvonne Clemmings and Lillian Howell.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, Jan. 3, 2022, beginning at 2 p.m. in Union Grove Cemetery with Pastor David Dahlstein officiating.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Grove Church of Christ.
