Despite challenges like the COVID-19 pandemic, the festival returned strong with high attendance and diverse performances. It emphasizes community roots, cultural impact, and ongoing growth through partnerships and grassroots support.

According to the festival organizers, its mission is to create a lasting cultural influence by deepening community engagement and building financial sustainability. Its vision includes fostering diversity, excellence, and relevance through a wide range of performances and activities. The 2025 board commits to inclusivity by seeking diverse artists and vendors to reflect the community's richness. With a vibrant downtown as its backdrop, the festival plans to expand audience connection, strengthen partnerships, and enhance leadership to ensure continued growth and positive impact in the region over the coming years.

MVAC focuses on promoting arts and entertainment in Mount Vernon to support the community's local economy and cultural activities through historic venues and events. Its vision is to position Mount Vernon as a notable destination for performing and cultural arts in a rural area.
