POULSBO, Wa. – Mary Eisma Wood, 71, passed away at her home in Poulsbo on Friday, Aug. 27, 2021.

She was born April 15, 1950, in Fort Meade, Maryland, to Gerard W. Eisma and Eona S. (Greiner) Eisma.

Mary graduated from East Knox High School in 1968. After graduation, she attended Business College in Columbus. After business school, she was employed by the federal government. She served in Washington, D.C.; La Paz, Bolivia; and Seattle. While in Seattle, she met her husband, Gaylord Wood. She relocated to Poulsbo, Washington, and spent the rest of her life there. After moving to Poulsbo, she switched careers and went to work for Lockheed Martin until her retirement in 2013.

Mary is survived by her brother, William (Linda) Eisma of Gambier; sister, Barbara (Larry) Smith of Tinton Falls, N.J.; nephew, Mark (Andrea) Eisma of Westerville; nieces, Michelle (Mike) Carter of Bexley and Maria (Jim) Nussbaum of Mount Vernon; and close friends, Janet Brittain, Nancy and Cindy.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Gaylord "Woody."
