MOUNT VERNON – Gary Edward Lee, 77, of Mount Vernon, passed away on Wednesday, Aug.11, 2021.
Gary was born on May 18, 1944, in Portsmouth, to Sam and Virginia (Brown) Lee. He enjoyed spending time with his family.
Gary is survived by his children, Tammy (Paul) Lester, Charles David Lee, Cindy Williams, Gary Ray (Jan) Lee, and Loretta (Darren) Shafer; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; special companion, Rita Rand; and his hound dog, Sassy.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Carol Cooper-Dale, Kenneth Lee, Raymond Lee, Larry Lee, and Sharon Kay; and grandson, Stephen Lee.
Calling hours are from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., Monday, Aug. 16, at Werner-Gompf Funeral Services, ltd., 1106 Park Ave. East, Mansfield. Funeral services will follow at 12 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Darren Shafer officiating. Burial will take place in Franklin Church Cemetery.
