MOUNT VERNON – The results of a new branding campaign for the Knox County Convention & Visitors Bureau were unveiled on Thursday, according to a press release.
Laura Hess, board chair of the Visitors Bureau, described the changes as a response to the pandemic slowdown.
“Travel and tourism were forced to take a back seat last year," Hess said in the release. "We wanted to look forward and think about opportunities to tell the story of Knox County to guests when things reopened.”
The new logo, designed with input from Fahlgren Mortine of Columbus, appeals to Knox County as a destination that blends appreciation for the arts, the outdoors and regional cuisine.
“This brand will tell the story of the people that make this county a unique destination for travelers of all kinds,” said Marketing Manager Olivia Toth. “Staying in a unique B&B, experiencing a grand show at the restored opera house or hiking a new trail; we’re showing our guests that they can experience something new or unexplored here."
