MOUNT VERNON – Martha B. May, 76, of Mount Vernon, passed away on Saturday, June 12, 2021, at Brookdale Mount Vernon. She was born on Aug. 7, 1944, in Mount Vernon to the late Paul and Eva Snider.
Martha was a member of the Mount Vernon Seventh-day Adventist Church. She enjoyed traveling and providing gifts to young children. She was also very supportive of teenage educational endeavors. Martha will be missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by her daughter, Tammy Young; her cousin, Leroy Snider; her former husband, John May; and three half-sisters, Patricia, Cindy and Linda.
In addition to her parents, Martha was preceded in death by her former husband, Omer Young.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 27, in Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
