MOUNT VERNON – The Knox County Department of Job & Family Services is continuing to recognize community partners and individuals who assist in fulfilling the agency’s mission of making the lives of children and families better, especially during the last year.
April’s Community Impact Award goes to Pam Rose, director of Student Services/district compliance officer and Title IX coordinator for Mount Vernon City Schools. She coordinates the needs of all students in the Mount Vernon district and works with numerous individuals and agencies to ensure that those needs are met.
“Pam is an amazing advocate for children and works closely with our Social Services staff,” said Danielle Swendal, Knox County Children Services Administrator. “Pam advocates for foster children to have the best school placement for academic success. She goes above and beyond to assist Social Services staff with removing barriers for children to be successful. She regularly attends semi-annual review meetings to be a third party/neutral team member. In this role, she provides ideas and recommendations to assist in strengthening families. Pam is an important part of the Knox County community and a valuable partner for KCDJFS, Children Services.”
