MOUNT VERNON – Larry C. Gault, 77, of Mount Vernon, passed away on Monday, May 3, 2021, at Country View Nursing Home in Sunbury. He was born on March 21, 1944, in Chicago, the son of Wayne and Florence (Miller) Gault.
Larry was a 1963 graduate of Mount Vernon High School. After graduation, he started painting at Kenyon College before managing Dick’s Pawn and Sports Shop in Mount Vernon. Larry retired from Cooper Cameron of Mount Vernon, and in his spare time he enjoyed fishing and hunting.
He is survived by his son, Jason Gault of Tennessee; grandchildren, Shalea, Trisha, Autumn and Hunter; a sister, Wanda Spray of Mount Vernon; and nieces and nephews, Krystal Drye, Katy Spray, Amy Klamut and Cary Gault.
Besides his parents, Larry was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon Gault; and a brother, Lyle Gault.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, May 10, in Ebenezer Cemetery in Mount Vernon. Mr. Roger Marra will be officiating.
