MOUNT VERNON – Elda L. Dix, 98, of Mount Vernon, passed away on Sunday, May 2, 2021, at Brookdale Senior Living in Mount Vernon. She was born on July 19, 1922, in Italy to the late Anthony and Mary (Principi) Lunardelli.
After Elda graduated from high school in Cleveland, she married the love of her life, Virgil. They moved to California, and she eventually settled in Mount Vernon about 15 years ago.
Elda attended Covenant Church. She was continually active at Brookedale and loved being involved in their community work. Elda loved being involved with art, crafts, sewing, quilting, painting and playing the piano. Her greatest love was being around her family.
She is survived by her children, Alan (Linda) Dix; James Dix and Janet (Dennis) O’Neill; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Along with her parents, Elda was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil Dix; and daughters-in-law, Carla and Crystle Dix.
A celebration of life service will take place at a later date.
