HOWARD – A funeral service celebrating the life of Lottie P. Rine, 94, of Howard, will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, May 3, at Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service. Burial will follow in Barnes Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home, located at 179 Granville St. in Newark, from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, May 2.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, masks must be worn inside the funeral home, and please practice social distancing.

Lottie was born in Licking County on June 12, 1926, to the late Mark and Carrie (Jewell) Banks. She passed away at Mount Vernon Health and Rehab Center on April 27, 2021.

Lottie enjoyed crocheting, knitting, cooking, bowling and traveling. Most important was the time she spent with her loving family, and she was known to help anyone who was in need.

Survivors include her children, Dianne (David) Dunbar, Dora Jean (Tim Miller) Able, Charles Rine and Leonard (Connie) Rine; 16 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

In addition to her parents, Lottie was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Ridgway; a granddaughter, Tiffany Ridgway; her sisters, Dorothy Kent, Susie Keaser, Shirley Weaver and Bessie Romine; brothers, Orville, Norman, Howard, Wayne, Harrison and Paul; and step-brother, John.

Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Lottie to Compassionate Friends of Mount Vernon or to InCare Ohio Hospice. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
