MOUNT VERNON – Kenneth A. Sant, 73, of Mount Vernon, passed away on Thursday, April 8, 2021, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on Sept. 11, 1947, in Maysville, Kentucky; the son of Earl and Anna (Day) Sant.
In his retirement, Ken served as a licensed swimming official at the YMCA, high school and collegiate swim levels. He also enjoyed going to auctions and collecting John Wayne and M&M memorabilia. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather who will be missed by many.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Nancy (Wythe) Sant; his children, Ginny (Sonny) Noon of Dillonvale, Skip (Laura) Sant of Avon Lake, Scott Sant of Mount Vernon and Steve (Teresa) Sant of Mount Vernon; seventeen grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brothers, Keith (Vickie) Sant of Mount Vernon and Karl (Sally) Sant of Gahanna; and sisters, Lynn (Mike) Musick of Mount Vernon, Lois (Duane) Newman of London, Ohio, and Leah (Bob) Slawson of Columbus. He is also survived by his canine companions, Dusty and Lexi.
Besides his parents, Ken was preceded in death by a brother, Kingsley Sant.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, April 13, at the Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home, 201 Newark Road, Mount Vernon, OH 43050; where friends may call from noon until the time of service. Burial will follow in Mound View Cemetery.
