MOUNT VERNON – Jeffrey Allen Pursel, 55, of Mount Vernon, passed away on Friday, April 2, 2021, at the Whispering Hills Nursing Home. He was born on June 6, 1965, in Mount Vernon to the late H. Allen and Sharon (Butler) Pursel.
Jeff graduated from East Knox High School and did some contract work at New Hope Industries. He attended Amity United Methodist Church. Jeff was an avid fan of Ohio State University football and Cincinnati Reds baseball. The thing he loved most was being around family and friends.
He is survived by his brother, Bruce (Julie) Pursel; a sister, Brenda (Jack) Reall; step-sister, Carol Taylor; nephew, Bryce Reall; niece, Julie Pursel; and an aunt, Lavonne Elwood; along with numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
A private graveside service will take place at a later date in Amity Cemetery.
