MOUNT VERNON – Seth A. Yarman, 57, of Mount Vernon, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 31, 2021, at Fairfield Medical Center in Lancaster. He was born in Mount Vernon on May 7, 1963, to Gene Yarman and Jane (McDonald) Yarman.
Seth was a 1981 graduate of Mount Vernon City Schools and the Knox County Career Center. He was a truck driver for Ellis Brothers. Seth enjoyed hunting and working on his trucks and farm. He was a member of the Owl Creek Church of the Brethren in Ankenytown and the National Tractor Pullers Association.
Seth is survived by his children, Erin (Bill) Cottrell of Glenmont, Noah Yarman of Howard and Taylor Yarman of Howard; grandchildren, Barric and Calen Cottrell; his father, Gene; sisters, Sara (David) Hile of Georgia, Heather Yarman Baer of North Carolina and Laura Yarman of Centerburg; a brother, Tim Yarman of Amity; several nieces and nephews; and several great-nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 3-7 p.m. on Friday, April 9, at the Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home, 201 Newark Road, Mount Vernon. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 10, at Owl Creek Church of the Brethren on Toms Road, Ankenytown.
