MOUNT VERNON – Kerry Lee Fish, 65, died suddenly and unexpectedly from complications of heart disease on Friday, March 12, 2021. He was born on July 16, 1955, in Mount Vernon and graduated from Mount Vernon High School.

As a young man, Kerry enjoyed scouting, camping and fishing. He received his bachelor’s degree from the Columbus College of Art & Design. He retired at the age of 61 from a career in the fields of graphic- and printing arts and enjoyed spending time with his family, tending to his pets, drawing, painting, and working in his yard and water garden. He was a quiet, proud, independent soul with a warm and caring heart. He also worked for many years as a vendor at the Renaissance Festival held in Mason, Ohio.

Kerry was the son of Beverly Ann Satterfield, who preceded him in death, and Thomas Joseph Fish.

He is survived by his father, Tom Fish, and his father’s wife, Susie Fish, of Mount Vernon; his brother, Douglas Grant Fish; brother-in-law, Chester Nicholas Caster of Schenectady, New York; a maternal aunt and paternal uncle; and numerous cousins.

A memorial service will be scheduled for a later date. Burial will be in the Ebenezer United Methodist Church Cemetery beside his mother.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Heart Association or the Knox County Animal Shelter.
