Knox Public Health has posted a notice on vaccine availability that will be updated regularly as conditions change. Starting Wednesday, March 3, all KPH COVID-19 vaccination clinics on Wednesdays will be walk-in only; first come, first served; from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Mount Vernon High School Energy Fieldhouse. Ohio is in Phase 2, with vaccine eligibility now for those 50 and older. The Health Department asks those who qualify as Phase 2 to send an email to info@knoxhealth.com indicating name, age and phone number; unless they have done so already.

SNAP-Ed is now providing virtual programming to eligible audiences! Knox County SNAP-Ed staff member Tanner Cooper-Risser will be providing a virtual series called "Eating for the Health of it" with Opportunity Knox. We will be discussing tips on making healthy food choices and ways to save money while still following a healthy lifestyle. SOS Tree Service and Ghost Logging will harvest the trees that the Mount Vernon Shade Tree & Beautification Commission decided to remove from the Public Square. Many downtown merchants will be providing educational displays, discounts or promotional gifts throughout the morning.
