KNOX COUNTY – Knox County residents age 65 and older and those with congenital health issues will remain the priority populations to receive the COVID-19 vaccine in the upcoming weeks.

Knox Public Health, Knox Community Hospital (KCH), Kroger and Rite Aid in Fredericktown have each received limited amounts of the COVID-19 vaccine, and each will be distributing vaccine by appointment only. Because of the limited supply of vaccine, scheduling by appointment is the only way to ensure that a person will receive a vaccination.

Knox Public Health currently receives on average 200 vaccines each week from the Ohio Department of Health. We hope to start receiving more vaccine in the coming weeks. Please be patient as we work to vaccinate everyone on the waiting list we share with KCH.

In collaboration with the Knox County Emergency Management Agency, Knox Public Health will distribute its vaccine allotment on Wednesday, March 3, at the Mount Vernon High School Energy Fieldhouse. Those scheduled for the Wednesday clinic will be notified by phone or email with an appointment time.
