Food for the Hungry of Knox County will open its grant application process for the 2025 campaign on October 1 at 8 a.m. The window for submissions will close on October 31 at noon. Late applications will not be considered.

The funds raised during the Food for the Hungry Winter Drive are partially allocated to Winter Grant recipients, which include non-profit groups in Knox County that provide food assistance. These recipients typically consist of food pantries and organizations offering hot meals. Grants are awarded based on criteria such as the number of people served and volunteer involvement, among other factors outlined in the application.

Interested parties can find the grant application at FoodForTheHungryCares.org, accessible from the homepage or under the 'Who We Help' section. Notifications to grant awardees are expected by mid-November.

Recipients will be highlighted during "Food For The Hungry LIVE," a live-stream and radio broadcast event scheduled for December 12 at Memorial Theater inside Knox Memorial.
