Hospice of the Western Reserve in Mount Vernon is hosting an open house on August 21, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The organization, which acquired HNCO/Hospice of Knox County on August 1, 2024, aims to provide end-of-life care and has been serving the Ohio community for over four decades.

The event offers a chance for the community to learn about hospice and palliative care services, meet local team members, and explore the newly renovated facility. Attendees can enjoy food from local vendors On the Rise Bar-B-Que and Round Hill Dairy, along with performances by local bands Side Effects and Granny Creek.

Informational materials will be available at the event, along with goody bags for the first 100 visitors. There will also be opportunities to learn about volunteering with Hospice of the Western Reserve.

The open house takes place at their location on Coshocton Road in Mount Vernon. For more information or to RSVP, contact Tara at 740-507-0072 or tseverance@hospicewr.org.
