In this Oct. 31, 2020, Historical Photo, Don Summerhayes, right, was identified by his daughter, Julie (Summerhayes) Harper. Harper also noted she believes the man on the left is Ray Mooney and dated the photo between 1986 and 1990, based on her father’s glasses. While unsure of the occasion of the photo, she suggested that it could be related to Don being active in Interchurch, the International Management Council (IMC) and serving as president of the Knox County chapter of the American Cancer Society — or maybe when he retired from Cooper Energy Services in March 1987.
Don, she noted, passed away in 1999.
