FREDERICKTOWN – Charles E. "Charlie" Stringfellow, 79, of Fredericktown, passed away at Altercare Newark North on Feb. 7, 2021. He was born on Feb. 7, 1942 to Dwight Stringfellow and Doris Hauger of Mount Vernon.
Charles spent his career as a truck driver.
He is survived by his wife Lois (Tyson) Stringfellow; daughters Erin (Andy) Simmons of Fredericktown, Debbie Fields of Columbus, Diana (John) Tucker of Mount Vernon and Jackie (Chris Smith) Stringfellow of Mount Vernon; a son Gary Stringfellow of Newcastle; a brother Larry (Cheryl) Stringfellow of Granville; a sister Nancy (Jim) Puffenbarger of Mount Vernon; sister-in-law Judy Stringfellow of Mount Vernon; and 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents; a brother George Stringfellow; and a grandson Zachary Metzger.
Family and friends may call on Friday, Feb. 12, from 5 to 7 p.m. Funeral services will be on Saturday, Feb. 13, at 11 a.m. at the Lasater Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow at Amity Cemetery.
