MOUNT VERNON – Vivian R. Gallogly, 92, of Columbus and formerly of Mount Vernon, passed away peacefully on Jan. 17, 2021, at the Willow Brook Christian Village due to complications from COVID-19.
She was born on May 20, 1928, to the late Calvin and Theresa (Rinehart) Purdy. For many years, she played the organ at Mulberry St. United Methodist Church in Mount Vernon.
Vivian will be missed by her children, Dale (Nancy) Gallogly, Sharon (Glenn) Epting and Marcia (Richard) Gibbons; 10 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin; their son, Jerry; and her sister, Rowena Henthorn.
A private graveside service will be held for the immediate family at Mound View Cemetery.
