MOUNT VERNON – Michael A. Donell Sr., 29, of Mount Vernon, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, Dec. 10, 2020. He was born on Dec. 20, 1990, in Columbus, the son of Michael Donell Jr. and Lisa McVay.
Michael was a 2008 graduate of Mount Vernon High School. He previously worked for UPI in Mount Vernon and currently worked as a mechanic for Kroger Distribution in Delaware. He enjoyed riding his Harley-Davidson and cherished the quality time with his family.
Besides his parents, he is survived by his wife, Chelsea (Jones) Donell; his children, Michael A. Donell Jr., Paden J. Donell, Kayna L. Donell and Butch R. Donell, all of the home; his brother, Joel Donell of Mount Vernon; maternal grandmother, Shirley McVay; and paternal grandparents, Michael Donell Sr. and Jewell Johannesen.
Michael was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Lee Ronald McVay; and an infant brother, Jacob Donell.
Friends may call on Friday, Dec. 18, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home, 619 E. High St., Mount Vernon, OH 43050. In following with pandemic orders, the family requests that masks be worn.
The family will observe a private service.
