MOUNT VERNON — Roger Dean Fannin, 69, of Mount Vernon passed away on Saturday, Nov. 14, 2020, at his home.
He was born on March 8, 1951, in Portsmouth, Ohio to the late Ronald and Betty Joan (Koch) Fannin. Roger was the former co-owner of the Village Market and was currently employed as a Truck Driver for the Teamsters Local 637 out of Zanesville. He enjoyed playing golf, riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle, photography and attending live music venues. He also enjoyed being one of the organizers for the Mad Cap Memorial Golf Scramble for 19 years. But most of all, Roger loved the time he spent with his family and closest friends.
He is survived by his brothers, Randy Fannin, Rick (Rosemary) Fannin, Ron (Lisa Durbin) Fannin; his nephews Paul Fannin, Jay Fannin, Travis Fannin; and his niece Aubrey Randall.
In keeping with Roger’s wishes, there will be no calling hours. The family will observe a Celebration of Life service at a date to be announced.
