SMITHVILLE – Judith Ann Sillman, 80, of Mount Vernon and formerly of Smithville, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on Thursday, Oct. 15, 2020, after an extended illness. She was born on April 23, 1940, in Rittman to Yovan L. and Marguerite Hardgrove Borisic.
She married William Sillman on Aug. 5, 1960. He preceded her in death on Feb. 21, 1999.
Judith worked many jobs throughout the years. She was a telephone operator, taxi dispatcher, a cook, babysitter, bartender and a caterer.
She is survived by her daughter, April (Robert) Stoler of Mount Vernon; two sons, Mark (Judy) Sillman of Wooster and Dana (Dee) Sillman of Smithville; grandchildren, Barrett and Jayme, Tony and Lindsey, Andrew, Cassie, Tristan and Dan, Felicia and Zack; great-grandchildren, Landon and Lillian, Madison and Conner, Jaxon, Grayson, RaeLynn and Piper on the way; siblings, Yovanna Anderson and Linda Bonsic of Georgia, Priscilla LaBo of Florida and Martha Haynes; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and her husband, William, Judith was preceded in death by two infant sisters; and a sister, Nettie Ann LaBo.
Private family graveside services will be held at the Smithville Cemetery.
McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, located at 216 E. Larwill St. in Wooster, is assisting the family.
