MOUNT VERNON – Earl D. Rinard, 82, of Mount Vernon, passed away on Friday, Oct. 16, 2020, at the Country Club Nursing Home. He was born on Nov. 24, 1937, in Oil City, Pennsylvania, to the late Lee and Francis (Flore) Rinard.

Earl was a pressman at American National Can for more than 43 years and retired in 1998. He was a member of American Legion Post 136 and the National Rifle Association. Earl was also a veteran, serving in the United States Army from 1961-63.

He is survived by his daughter, Michele (Mike) Heimann; his son, Richard Rinard; his sister, Joyce (Jack) Green; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Earl was preceded in death by his wife Evelyn Rinard.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 21, in Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens Cemetery beginning at 11 a.m. with Pastor Marvin Haught officiating. Military honors will be provided by the Knox County Joint Veterans Council.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Capital City Hospice.
