The Heart of Ohio Days Committee has canceled the mini-fest and car show that were scheduled to take place on Saturday, Sept. 12, and Sunday, Sept. 13, a release posted on Facebook said.
The committee cited several factors that were taken into account before ultimately deciding to cancel the event, including traffic problems caused by bridge construction near the venue and COVID-19-related issues. Other large events such as the state fair and quarter horse congress have already been canceled, and in the interest of community health the committee followed suit in obeying the mandates of the State.
This is the second cancellation of this year’s annual Heart of Ohio USA Days Festival. The main festival was previously canceled and the entire schedule rolled over to next year, to be held Thursday, June 24, 2021, through Saturday, June 26, 2021. The car show and scaled down version of the festival were still scheduled to take place in September until this latest cancellation.
The car show for next year has been set for Sunday, Sept. 12, 2021.
