The S.N. & Ada Ford Foundation has approved a grant in the amount of $5,000 in support of Hospice of North Central Ohio’s “Camp Hope” children’s bereavement camp. Camp Hope, created by HNCO in 1996 is a children’s bereavement camp for children ages 6-17 who have experienced the loss of a loved one through death. The annual 4-day camp is held at Pleasant Hill Campgrounds.

Coming soon on July 23-30 is the Knox County Fair. On Monday, July 26, is the Knox County Fair Horticulture Flower Show and on Thursday, July 28, is the Knox County Fair, Artistic Flower Show.

Dog owners who wish to surrender their pets to the Knox County Animal Shelter can do so, but must pay a $120 fee, the same fee as the shelter charges for adopting a dog,

Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Rine (Newark) Formerly of Bladensburg will celebrate their 60 th wedding anniversary on June 9, 2022.Wesley and Dorothy (Hill) Rine were married on June 9, 1962, at the Bladensburg Church of Christ, officiated by Reverend Ron Moyer.

The annual Fredericktown High School Alumni Banquet will be held Saturday, June 25, at the Middle/High School Commons, at 111 Stadium Drive. The banquet is always the last Saturday in June. The social hour will begin at 5:30 p.m., followed by dinner at 6:30 p.m. This year’s menu will be hamloaf, cheesy potatoes, green beans, tossed salad, pie and beverage.

The Fredericktown Senior Citizens met on Wednesday, May 11, at the Fredericktown Municipal Building on the Square. There were 20 members present to enjoy a potluck luncheon at noon. We had a prayer by Paul James and Pledge of Allegiances to our flag.
