LIMA – Marlene A. Belcher, 82, passed away on Sunday, July 24, 2022, surrounded by her family at Otterbein, Cridersville.
Marlene was born on March 28, 1940, in Marengo to Zelman and Sibyl (Barrett) Lewis. On Sept. 17, 1960, she married Kenneth Belcher, who survives in Lima.
Marlene was a homemaker and member of Forest Park UMC. She loved babysitting, baseball, Ohio State and animals. She and her husband wintered in Avon Park in Florida for 10 years and enjoyed golfing.
Along with her husband, she is survived by her children, Alan Ray (Kim) Belcher of Belleville, MI, Lisa Roxann Harner of Lima, Keith Ryan (Lori) Belcher of Lima and Kelly Renee Belcher of Toledo; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; siblings, Ron Lewis, Barbara (Rick) More and Ellis (Cindy) Lewis; and 22 nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday, July 28, at Forest Park Church, Lima. A funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. on. Pastors Tim Benjamin and Lynda Lockwood will officiate. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, Lima.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Forest Park UMC.
