The Venezuela Lago District hosted the Children’s Missionary Orientation Camp in June, bringing together 97 children for two days of learning and missionary activities. The event took place on June 5-6 at the Beraca Valley Church of the Nazarene in Los Chichies, Perijá region, and on June 12-13 at La Trinidad Church of the Nazarene in Maracaibo.

Participants engaged in creative games, crafts, and workshops designed to teach them about urban and cross-cultural missions. The camp emphasized how the gospel can reach different cultures and countries while encouraging children to see themselves as active missionaries within their homes, schools, and communities.

Local leaders supported the event alongside Pastor Diana de Díaz and district leadership from Nazarene Missions International. Organizers said that despite logistical challenges, each gathering was marked by unity and purpose.

Sister Nereida Fernández, district NMI president, said, “I thank God for His support during this time of service, for the team, the willing local leaders, and for the children who participated, who now understand that God has a calling for each of them. My heart rejoices when I remember their faces filled with wonder and joy.”

The camp served as a formative experience for attendees while reaffirming a commitment to nurture new generations. Organizers described it as an opportunity to remind participants that even young people are called to serve as positive influences within their communities.
