The Homer Public Library Ohio has announced a series of events scheduled throughout June 2026, offering activities for adults, teens, and children.
According to the library's announcement, every Monday in June at 10:00 am, adults aged 55 and older are invited to join Kathy for GetSetUp, an online learning community meetup. The sessions will focus on exercise and health topics. On Tuesday, June 2 at 2:00 pm, Ohio author Conrade C. Hinds will visit the library to discuss his books covering various aspects of Ohio history.
Other events include a Recipe Exchange on Friday, June 5 at 11:00 am with the theme "Dump Dinner or Dessert," where guests can bring dishes and recipes or simply come to taste and converse. Crafting with Ann Kimble is set for Tuesday, June 9 at 2:00 pm, offering participants the chance to create a patriotic bracelet; registration is required. The Ukulele Association of Homer will meet on Thursday, June 11 and Thursday, June 25 at 5:00 pm for practice sessions and free lessons open to all ages.
Additional highlights include a presentation by educator Gary Agrabright on mammoths and mastodon discoveries in Ohio on Friday, June 12 at 1:00 pm; several teen summer events such as painting (June 16), movie night (June 18), and crafting (June 23); children's summer reading programs focused on recycling (June 17) and a dinosaur egg hunt (June 24); as well as regular book club meetings and community gatherings like Brunch and a Movie (June 19), Community of Women (June 16), Licking County Aging Partners meal with Y on the Fly exercise program (June 26), and an informal discussion hosted by the Homer Historical Society (June 26).
