She will begin her role on June 8.
McCartney brings more than 15 years of leadership experience in organizational management, strategic planning, community engagement, and partnership development. Most recently, she served as Director of Athletics, Fitness and Recreation at Kenyon College, where she led department-wide strategic initiatives, developed collaborative community programs, and strengthened partnerships across Knox County. She is a resident of Gambier and a current member of the Knox County Chamber of Commerce Board. Her experience includes service on the Village Planning & Zoning Committee in Gambier, the Knox County Local Food Council, Women United of Knox County, and other nonprofit and community organizations.
"Jill’s collaborative leadership style, strategic mindset, and deep commitment to community make her an outstanding choice to lead the Chamber into its next chapter. She understands the importance of strong relationships among businesses, educational institutions, nonprofits, and local leaders, and she brings a clear vision for strengthening economic vitality across Knox County while working with local partners to continue the growth of Knox County," according to Steve Oster.
Throughout her career, McCartney has focused on helping organizations translate vision into measurable outcomes while building strong partnerships. In addition to her leadership in higher education, she has worked as a consultant supporting nonprofit and mission-driven organizations in strategic planning and operational improvement. McCartney also previously served on the Crete Chamber of Commerce Board and the LB840 Economic Development Committee in Nebraska.
"I am honored to serve as Executive Director of the Knox County Chamber of Commerce. Knox County is a community with tremendous strengths, innovative businesses, and strong institutional partners.
