The Knox County Chamber of Commerce announced that it will host the annual Junior Fair Breakfast on July 9 at the Ramser 4-H Activity Center, located at 700 Perimeter Drive on the fairgrounds in Mount Vernon. Doors will open at 8:00 a.m., with the program beginning at 8:30 a.m.
Jill McCartney, Executive Director of the Knox County Chamber of Commerce, said, "The Chamber of Commerce is proud to host this annual event and partner with CES Credit Union as our corporate sponsor. Both our organizations recognize the many benefits Junior Fair participants gain through their program—from enhancing their leadership skills to gaining confidence, discipline, and so much more. The Chamber, CES Credit Union, and our members are glad to contribute to this awards program."
The breakfast provides an opportunity for community members to support young people involved in the Knox County Junior Fair. Participants represent groups such as 4-H, FFA, Grange, Scouts, and Cloverbuds. Attendees will have a meal and hear from junior fair participants about their projects.
All proceeds from the event will go toward the Knox County Junior Fair Awards. James McLaughlin, Marketing Director of CES Credit Union, said, "We know the young women and men in these programs put in a lot of hard work and learn new skills, like public speaking and showmanship. History shows these programs produce some of the best future citizens, business owners, employees and leaders in our county."
Space for the event is limited; advanced registration is required by July 1. The event is non-refundable. Registration details are available on knoxchamber.com or by contacting the chamber office at 740-393-1111.
The Knox County Chamber of Commerce promotes collaboration among businesses and community leaders while supporting diversity and innovation within its service area, according to its official website.
