Brenda Stewart, general manager of the Mt. Vernon McDonald’s at 674 N Sandusky Street, was honored with the Outstanding General Manager Award, according to an April 21 statement. The award recognizes the top 10 percent of McDonald’s general managers in the United States for exceptional leadership.
The Outstanding General Manager Award is presented annually to a select group of general managers who ensure their restaurants operate smoothly and maintain high standards in food quality, speed of service, and cleanliness. Recipients are recognized for fostering positive work cultures and providing strong customer service.
To be eligible for this award, a general manager must have at least one year of experience and be a graduate of Hamburger University, McDonald’s global operations training and leadership development program based in Chicago.
"This group of managers have truly exemplified what it means to lead with integrity and passion," said Katie Blankenship, McDonald’s Owner/Operator and President of McDonald’s Ohio Regional Operators Association. "Their ability to inspire their team, drive performance, and create a positive atmosphere for both employees and customers make them incredibly deserving of this recognition."
McDonald's USA serves more than 25 million customers daily across its 14,000 U.S. restaurants. Nearly 90 percent are independently owned and operated by local business owners. More information can be found on the organization's website.
