Food For The Hungry announced it is seeking an Annual Drive and Community Relations Director to join its team, according to a recent statement. The organization said the position is essential in supporting its nonprofit efforts focused on providing food and financial support to entities working to reduce hunger in Knox County, Ohio.
The main responsibility of the Director will be to oversee and coordinate the annual Food For The Hungry Drive held in November and December. Throughout the year, the Director will also manage various grant applications and award deadlines, coordinate with community partners and grant recipients, present annual operating budget requests, work on marketing initiatives with the Digital Content and Marketing Director, and collaborate closely with the board on organizational matters. The position is described as hourly and not full-time. Hours vary throughout the year: approximately 15–20 hours per week in January and October; 30–40 hours per month from February through September; 25–30 hours per week during November and December; with additional time required during Drive Week in December. Required skills include strong organizational abilities, project management experience, attention to detail, excellent written and verbal communication skills, comfort representing the organization publicly, and an ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
