The City of Mount Vernon announced that Blackberry Alley will be closed to all traffic between East Ohio Avenue and Howard Street from March 26 at 7:00 a.m. until March 27 at 5:00 p.m. The closure is due to brick street work requested by Small's Asphalt Paving.
According to the announcement, the road will not be open to emergency traffic during this period. Residents or drivers with questions about the closure are advised to call 740-393-9528.
In addition, the city is replacing broken sections of sidewalk and curbing this week on the south side of Coshocton Avenue in the vicinity of North Catherine Street.
