On the launch of its 2026 Scholarship Program, the Ohio District 5 Area Agency on Aging, Inc. announced that applications are now being accepted for individuals pursuing higher education or certification in aging or disability services.
The program aims to support those committed to making a positive impact on older adults and people with disabilities through their educational pursuits. The Foundation Board will award scholarships to individuals who demonstrate dedication in these fields.
According to the agency's announcement, "The scholarship award for Academic Year 2026/2027: Two (2) $1,000 for any student attending a 4-year university; One (1) $500 for any student attending a 2-year college, technical school, center of education, or is pursuing a certification; One (1) $500 for any student attending any type of higher institute of learning or certification and a retiree or staff member of the Area Agency on Aging or is a child, grandchild, stepchild of an actively employed (full time or part time) Ohio District 5 Area Agency on Aging, Inc. staff member." The deadline for application is March 15, 2026.
