Fredericktown Local Schools is set to unveil its new Engineering & Manufacturing Academy with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Friday, February 27th at 10 a.m. The academy, located at Fredericktown High School, marks the first of its kind in Knox County. This initiative was made possible through the efforts of STEAM educators and a grant from Battelle focused on K–12 STEAM initiatives.

The lab aims to bridge classroom learning with real-world applications by providing students hands-on experiences in manufacturing, engineering, and applied technologies. It represents a significant investment in workforce development and career readiness for the region. The program is designed to evolve into a regional resource that strengthens partnerships between education, business, industry, and community stakeholders throughout Knox County.

Fredericktown Local School District invites everyone to attend the event at 111 Stadium Drive, Fredericktown. Those interested can register online. Elected officials are encouraged to send proclamations or attend the event in person.
