According to the organization’s website, “The Academic Boosters Club is a dynamic parent volunteer organization dedicated to celebrating and supporting academic excellence at Mount Vernon High School and the Knox County Career Center. The club recognizes student achievement, promotes awareness of how students can earn an academic letter, and encourages a strong culture of scholarship.”
It further notes that the club’s annual Academic Awards Night is designed to highlight outstanding accomplishments and provide financial support to seniors pursuing higher education.
“Each year, the Academic Boosters Club awards scholarships to graduating seniors pursuing college or trade school pathways and hosts an annual Academic Awards Night to honor outstanding accomplishments,” the statement reads.
Through fundraising and community partnerships, the club has been able to sustain its scholarship program.
“Through fundraising efforts, the organization supports scholarships, awards, and Board‑approved activities that directly benefit and inspire students,” the organization adds.
The evening underscored the club’s mission to inspire students and strengthen community ties, while celebrating both academic achievement and future aspirations.
