The Fredericktown girls basketball team faced a challenging conference matchup, ultimately falling to Centerburg with a score of 53–36 in an away game against the Trojans.
The game was held at Centerburg High School on January 2. According to reports, Fredericktown struggled initially but showed improved offensive performance in the second half. Ella Bouton led the Freddies with 17 points, providing a consistent scoring presence throughout the game. Mya Bryant contributed nine points and secured a team-high 12 rebounds, aiding Fredericktown's efforts on the glass. Nula Hansen added five points and made several defensive contributions. The Freddies ended the game with their strongest quarter, scoring 17 points in the fourth.
Defensively, Fredericktown recorded eight steals and three blocks, maintaining pressure despite facing a balanced attack from Centerburg. The team also controlled stretches of rebounding, finishing with a total of 33 boards.
Fredericktown is scheduled to play their next game on January 10 against East Knox at East Knox High School.
